EASTER 2002

March 31, 2002 -  It began as many other Easter mornings - up a the crack of dawn to celebrate the most important holiday of the year, only to discover that our house had been vandalized ... again.  Eggs were strewn everywhere, decorated and gay, taunting us with their bold colors and mocking us with their sexual orientation.

"Dat's it!" I exclaimed, gwabbing my hunting cap and shotgun, and stomping off into the woods.  "I'm going to get that wascally wabbit if it's the last thing I ever do!"

Thankfully the day improved decidedly with a trip to Winterset, lunch at Mom's (the rabbit stew was AWESOME!), and a visit at Dad's.  Following are a couple of photos from both.

After lunch an Easter egg hunt broke out.  Note that the kids are all headed the other direction at just beyond light speed.

This is Megan. Shannon's daughter (sister Vicki's grandaughter).

This is Megan's brother, Brandon,
who just turned one.

This is out back at Dad's. This is the new deck and
walkway he put on last summer.  Everyone is trying to
spot the fish in his fish pond Dad added, also last summer.

Is it Telsa coils or a Faraday cage that generates static
electricity?  Whichever it is, it worked on Kristie's hair.

Here is the five-gallon bird feeder
Dad made.
