Wednesday, June 12 dawned crisp and clear and we had little to do that day but to check out the Badlands, find a buffalo burger for lunch, and drive home. We got home at 7:30 p.m. having traveled 1530 miles in 38.5 total hours door to door. That averages to just over 40 mph for the course of the trip, including eating and sleeping. Not bad.

Another thing that always happens whenever two guys take a trip like this. It seems they always discover a new word or two to abuse and overuse. In this case it was the word "behold."

As in, "BEHOLD! The Badlands."

Or, "BEHOLD! Mount Rushmore."

Or, "BEHOLD! A Prairie Dog."

Or, "BEHOLD! A ... er, hmmm. What is that supposed to be a photo of?"

And of course there is one more...
